Building Estimator - Residential Projects (Remote)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Estimator with experience with CUBIT estimating software. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for scoping, takeoffs, and rating using the CUBIT estimating program for single houses and townhouses. They will work remotely and connect to the company's server through VPN to utilize CUBIT Estimating on their system. They will be accountable for ensuring precise and timely estimates, along with responding to emails from subcontractors seeking project-specific clarifications. The ideal candidate should possess a profound comprehension of residential construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities

Use CUBIT Estimating Program to scope, take-offs, and rating for residential construction projects.

Accurately estimate project costs and ensure timely delivery of estimates.

Respond to emails from subcontractors seeking project-specific clarifications.

Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure project success.

Track and analyze project data to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency
Requirements

5+ years in architecture and design building.

2+ years of experience using the CUBIT Estimating program in the residential construction industry.

Exceptional focus on details and exceptional organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work remotely with a well-equipped home office setup.

Availability to work Australian hours – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Melbourne time.

Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or related field preferred
